Bringing a Visionary Leader into Focus

Rabbi Dr. Katriel (Kenneth) Brander brought decades of respected leadership in the American Jewish world to his role as President and Rosh HaYeshiva of Ohr Torah Stone. To introduce his voice and vision to new audiences, we created a video series rooted in his personal passions.

The result: over 680,000 views and a powerful boost in engagement from OTS supporters and the wider community.

 CHALLENGE

  • Ohr Torah Stone is a large educational network of over 30 institutions, and its new leader was stepping into a highly respected legacy.

  • Although Rabbi Brander was well known in North America and in rabbinic circles, the transition to Ohr Torah Stone presented a natural moment to introduce him and his vision for Ohr Torah Stone to Israeli and international supporters.

  • He had already launched a weekly parsha video series, but after four years it was time to engage a fresh and professional format that could better communicate his voice in a personal and compelling waythat would truly resonate.

PROCESS

  • Through discussion with his team, we discovered Rabbi Brander’s passion for archaeology. We proposed a bold pivot: reimagine the series around this interest to unlock more authentic storytelling.

  • We developed a new concept around on-location storytelling, where each episode explored ancient Jewish sites and connected them to timeless values.

RESULTS

  • The new series quickly outperformed expectations, consistently drawing 15K+ views per episode, with one episode topping 100K views – a 400 to 3000% increase from his previous series. Across YouTube and Facebook, the series received over 680,000 views!

  • Engagement was extraordinary: 80% of viewers watched 80% or more of each video.

  • By showcasing Rabbi Brander’s authentic voice and passions, the series strengthened his connection with supporters and new audiences, and enhanced donor engagement.
